The Marie Selby Botanical Gardens is on acres of waterfront land on South Palm Avenue in Downtown Sarasota. It was founded by William and Marie Selby in 1975 and donated to the city in 1981. The Marie Selby Botanical Gardens offers a wide range of gardens and displays. The significant parks include the Banyan Collection, the Tropical Display House, the Bromeliad Collection, and the Children’s Garden.
